Courtyard

Our guests can relax in the courtyard.  Dream in the tree swing, or nap in the hammock.  This tranquil spot is a great place for bird watching and just listening to the wind in the pines.

This is the orginial bell tower that was used to call the workers in the from the fields for meal times. The bottom of the structure served another purpose, it was used as a coal dump. Coal for winter heating was dumped in, and the family could retrieve the coal from a chute closer to the house when needed.

Planted over 100 years ago, these poppies are compliments of Sarah Brashear, the original homesteader, whose love of flowers made this farm a real showplace.
