Rendezvous Room

Enjoy time spent at the fireplace, watching a movie, or playing a board game. This comfortable room on the 2nd floor has a balcony with a breathtaking view of the Scottsbluff National Monument and Mitchell Pass as well as the Mitchell Valley.

Play checkers, read a book, or simply relax with the beautiful view of the west side of Scotts Bluff National Monument and Mitchell Pass. The 1840′s avenue of the Oregon Trail, California Trail, the legendary Pony Express Trail also came thru Mitchell Pass and past our barn. Listen closely and you can still hear the creak and groan of the old covered wagons and the thunder of the racing Pony Express Riders. This is a great upstairs room with an outside balcony.

Overstuffed leather chairs provide a cozy reading corner.

The old army McClellen saddle is complete in every detail.  This saddle was used on our 1,300 mile ride across the Santa Fe Trail.  The Arapaho jingle dress and chest plate are constant reminders of our Arapaho friends on the Wind River Reservation.

Our small black bears remind all of us not to take ourselves too seriously!
